Obituary for Gus Gianas

Gus Gianas passed away April 11, 2020 at Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas. He was 92. He was born in Chicago to Greek immigrants and one of four brothers who all served their country. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company until his retirement. After God, family and country, he loved nothing more than watching his beloved Chicago Cubs. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Andrea, son Michael, granddaughter Lily, brother Angelo and sisters in law Francine Gianas, Verlaine Walker, Christine Raehl Drews, Cynthia Raehl and brothers in law Steve Raehl and Galen Drews. In addition he is survived by nieces and nephews, Maria, Tommy, Dimitra, Billy, Angelique, Geoff, Tanya, Trisha and Danielle. He was preceded in death by parents Tom and Martha, and brother Jim. His brother Nick passed away a day after Gus. Gus’s life will be celebrated by those who loved him when we can meet again.
