Obituary for Dudley J. Harrell, Jr.

Dudley J. Harrell, Jr., was born on February 18, 1958 in Independence, LA to Dudley J. Harrell Sr. and Willette Anthony Harrell. Dudley married Beverly Dodson on August 22, 1980, the couple later divorced but remained friends. Dudley was self employed most of his life and worked in roofing/ construction as well as the automotive industry. He had a passion for working on cars with a love for classic Nova and Chevelle models. During his past year of residing at The Terrace he had developed a love of gardening. He was a loving, carefree man who lived his life only by his rules. He would do anything he could to help others and he will be missed by many. Dudley passed away peacefully Saturday, October 10, 2020, at The Terrace in Denison, TX.
He is survived by his daughter Gina Veal and husband Terry of Sherman, son Jeremiah Ruff and wife Peetie of Denison, Grandchildren; Blakelee Veal and wife Jordan, Jean Carl Motley and partner Keyana Collier, Avery Motley, Adriana Veal, Mason Veal, Haley Davis, Cotton Ruff, Lola Ruff and Maylee Lock, Sister Marilyn Thompson and Brothers Edward Harrell and John Harrell, stepsisters Billie Holmes and Belinda Dute, stepbrothers Larry Jones and Ricky Jones, 5 Aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as longtime friend Charlie Cunningham and many others. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step mother Jean Harrell, brothers; Joseph Harrell, Christopher Harrell, Eugene Harrell and ex wife Beverly.
Dudley’s wishes were to be cremated. A private family memorial will be held at a later day.
