Obituary for Ada Marie Hudson

Ada Marie Hudson was born on May 19, 1944, in Blue Creek, Texas, the fourth child born to Ada Estella Tate and William “Sonny” Arrie Mask. She was the mother of six children.

Ada retired from Burlington after a 35 year career and was the co-owner of Lady L Boutique in downtown Sherman, Texas. Ada was a member of the Black Mystic social club. She served as Vice President of the Executive Board, President of the Usher Board, and Finance Committee, and was church mother at God’s House of Faith & Worship Center.

Ada entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert E. Mask; daughter Dianna Marie (Anderson) Cook. Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Billy Joe Hudson of Sherman, her brothers William Mask, Mark Mask, and Danny Wilson, her sisters Mildred Thacker and Marcie Jefferson, children Donna Kaye Anderson, Melvin “Pete” Anderson (Leslie), Tammie Lewis (KImearl), Jeffery Anderson, Tiniya Martin (Karl); 17 grandchildren, 25 great- grandchildren and many other family members who she loved and adored.
